I hold a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College as well as certificate in Ecopsychology. This framework speaks to the recognition of the connections between the mental health of the client with the overall health of the culture and the planet. Along with this I have completed professional training from M.E.T.A in Hakomi Body Centered Psychotherapy, EMDR and Equine assisted psychotherapy through EAGALA certification and Natural Lifemanships Trauma focused equine assisted psychotherapy. I have worked in the mental health field since 2007, including wilderness therapy, residential treatment, private practice and outpatient counseling clinics. Along with my experience in counseling I am a certified yoga teacher and have traveled the country teaching trauma informed yoga trainings for many years. I received my bachelor’s degree from Prescott College in human development focusing on the therapeutic use of adventure education as well as dance.
