Shelby is a professional counselor associate working at Heron Hill. Shelby graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a masters in mental health counseling and a specialization in addictions treatment. Shelby’s work within the mental health field began when she worked as a field guide for a wilderness therapy program in Vermont. Shelby feels passionately about the integration of nature within the therapeutic experience. She believes strongly in the importance of relationship and connection, both with our fellow humans and the natural world at large. In her work with clients Shelby weaves together a balance of somatic, relational, and holistic approaches. Shelby is interested in working with people of all ages and identities.
